FLOORBALL

INTRODUCTION TO FLOORBALL

Floorball is most simply described as ice hockey without the ice, skates or protective gear. It is played on a court with half metre high boards around it to keep the ball in play. The stick is lightweight with a fibreglass shaft and a plastic blade (with holes) and the ball is plastic, hollow and holey the size of a tennis ball.

Competitions include Open, Social Mixed and Junior divisions. All of these competitions being 5-a-side. Age and fitness level are no barrier to playing and abosultely enjoying floorball. It is a sport that can be picked up quite easily, and you don't have to be a stick-sport person to get involved and enjoy!

Please note that any team wishing to forfeit within 24 hours of their game time will incur a forfeit fee of $130. A game being too late is not an excuse to forfeit.
